Burial in a VA national cemetery is available for eligible Veterans, spouses and dependents and includes the gravesite, grave-liner, opening and closing of the grave, a headstone or marker, and perpetual care as part of a national shrine. This does not include funeral home service fee, merchandise (casket, urn, etc.) and cash advance items, For Veterans, benefits may also include a burial flag (with case for active duty), and military funeral honors.

The next of kin or authorized representative (e.g., Allen Brothers Mortuary) makes the interment arrangements at time of need.  Gravesites cannot be reserved.  The Allen Brothers Mortuary Staff will coordinate all the details of these arrangements for our families. 

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

• Active duty military
  
• Retired military
  
• Veterans of any war, discharged under conditions other than dishonorable
  
• Veterans who served a minimum of one term of enlistment, and discharged under conditions other than dishonorable
  
• Members and former members of the Selected Reserve
  

WHO IS NOT ELIGIBLE?

• Individuals discharged from the Armed Forces under dishonorable conditions
  
• Individuals sentenced to life imprisonment without parole or death penalty for a federal or state capital offense
  
• Other explicit circumstances
