Billie Pate Obituary

Billie Yvonne Pate aka “Rocky“

Billie Yvonne Pate was born on June 06, 1941 to Anna B Dickerson and William Dickerson in Bristol Virginia.   Her Entrance to this world was remarkable. Born after just 28 weeks of gestation she was placed in a drawer and her parents were told she would not live through the night.  She proved them wrong. Billie grew to be a strong a vibrant young girl; enjoying her younger days in Bristol, with her mother father and sister Daisy.

After she graduated High School in Bristol, she was working in Cincinnati, when she met the love of her life George W Pate on a train.  That chance meeting grew to a love that led them to be married in 1962. Their Happy union produced 3 beautiful children.

Billie loved being a wife and mother.  She also enjoyed working and helping others.   In her middle years she grew very fond of art and became an expert at mixing paint to make beautiful colors for people to enjoy.

Billie will be most remembered for her gentle nature and loving smile that she gave to all she met.  She was preceded in death by her husband Commander George W. Pate, of Oceanside, Ca. daughter Angela Pree of St Louis MO, Mother Anna Dickerson,  father William Dickerson and sister Daisy French.
