Marjorie A. Moore, 73, died in a car collision near Buellton, CA on September 22, 2019.
Marjorie was born in Sacramento, CA to John M. McGrath and Maxine F. (Schroth) McGrath on August 6, 1946. She graduated from Loretto High School in 1964.
On July 6, 1968, Marjorie married Harry E. Moore, Jr. in Sacramento, CA. They had four children together and were married nearly 50 years when Harry passed away. After raising kids, Marjorie went on to complete her Education degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 1996.
Marjorie was organized, resilient, and courageous with a witty sense of humor. Her faith was important to her. Throughout her life, she was dedicated to educating and protecting kids, whether they were her kids, her kids’ friends, her students, grandkids, and even in recent volunteer work. She was an active member of the Lion’s Club and her Church.
Besides her parents and husband, Marjorie is preceded in death by her son, Harry E. Moore, III. Marjorie is survived by three of her children; Jacqueline Wyrwitzke and daughter Maxine; Teresa McCarthy (Mike) and their two children Molly and John; and Thomas Moore. Marjorie is also survived by two sisters, Mary Lou McGrath (Dr. Curtis Blake) of Clancy, MT, and Dr. Jean McGrath (Dr. Wally Olsen) of Laguna Nigel, CA.
A memorial mass will be held 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 1 at Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Lompoc, CA. Burial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 3 at Old Mission San Luis Rey in Oceanside, CA.
