Tailelei Patolo Faumuina

Tailelei (aka) Kai Faumuina was born on July 1, 1941 and passed away on February 16, 2019. Tailelei was a resident of Vista, California. Born in America Samoa, Tailelei grew up with a loving family and in beautiful island setting and lifestyle. Tailelei was known for his warmth and generous spirit. He would do anything to help family and friends and never turned anyone away in need. A kind loving man, his smile radiated happiness and joy to all that met him. Throughout his life he built many lasting relationships. He was patriotic and had a profound love for our country.

Tailelei is survived by his wife Diana Ekeroma Faumuina

Son: David Faumuina wife Laitu

Daughter: Malia husband Marc

Stepson: Iki Tuigamala and partner Candace

Stepson: Tagialupe Tuigamala (TJ) and partner Danielle

Stepson: Patrick Speed (Deceased)

Stepson: Chris Speed wife Laura

Stepdaughter: Nancy Howell

Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Tailelei is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

A Vigil service will be held on Wednesday, February 27th from 5 to 8 pm at the Allen Brothers Mortuary located at 1315 South Santa Fe Ave. Vista, CA. His final Mass will be held the following day Thursday, 28 February at the St Francis Assisi Catholic Church located at 525 West Vista Way, Vista, CA.  A reception will be held immediately following Thursday’s ceremony at the Vista Optimist Club located at 600 Optimist Way, Vista, CA.
