Yvonne Marie Schrock

    Yvonne Schrock, 85 years old, entered into eternal peace at Palomar Hospital on Saturday, July 20, 2019.  She had been a resident of Escondido and then San Marcos, CA since 1969. The third of five children, she was born to Ben and Edith Reiselman on July 12, 1934 in Ogallala, Nebraska.  There, she graduated in 1951 from Ogallala High School, married and had three beautiful children.

     Yvonne was a member of St. Mark’s Church and was very active in many ministries for the Church, including the Book Store and the Women’s Guild. In addition to her Church, family and friends were her true passion and delight.  She was a marvelous cook and loved to have big family gatherings for the holidays, or any time, for that matter.  She would spend days cooking and preparing for big holiday meals and no one could set a table as beautifully as she could.  Because of the extra effort and love that she put into each and every occasion, her family has even more cherished memories to think of when we are missing her.

     Yvonne was a bookkeeper by profession, and held management positions throughout her career at several local companies in the area.  She also loved to travel and took many trips with her husband to visit family in Nebraska, Oklahoma and Washington or to explore fun and historic places in the U.S.

     She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her daughters Cindy Bang of San Marcos, Shelly Fought of San Diego, Diane Ingram of Escondido, Charlotte Schrock and Sammie Hamilton, both of Tulsa, OK., her ten grandchildren; Robert, Angie, Shane, Tiffany, Jessica, Ryan, Autumn, Sean, Jason and Melissa, and twenty-two great-grandchildren. She is also survived, and will be greatly missed, by her brothers B.J. Reiselman and Ed (Ruby) Reiselman and sisters Nadine Vance and Rosemary (Pete) Peterson and numerous nieces and nephews. Yvonne is predeceased by her first husband, Bob Fought in 1972 and her second husband of 35 years, Ray Schrock in 2003, her devoted sons Carl Schrock in 2016, Patrick Fought July 11, 2019, and son-in-law Jeff Bang in 2017.

     Yvonne leaves behind many of us who will always remember her as the loving mother, grandmother and great friend that she was.

Services will be held at St. Mark’s Church in San Marcos on Friday, July 26, 2019. Viewing and Rosary will be at 10:00AM with Mass at 11:00AM, and Reception at St. Mark’s Church from 12:00PM-1:30PM. Graveside services will be at 2:00PM at Oak Hill Memorial Park in Escondido.
