Alfred Paul Fay

 Alfred P. Fay, age 94, passed away on October 23, 2022, at his home in San Marcos, CA.

Alfred was born in Los Angeles, CA. and grew up in Ventura, CA. He is the son of the late Joseph H. Fay Sr., and Emily (Camet) Fay. Alfred worked as an Engineer for over 36 years, and he enjoyed sailing, fishing, golf, and watching college football.  His favorite team was Notre Dame! He was a huge fan of their Women's Basketball Team, many a times they almost gave him a heart attack with their close games. You had to wait a few minutes to call him after a game, so he could pick himself off the floor.  He was an avid fisherman, and like all true fishermen, the stories of the one that got away seem to grow over time. No one knew that a trout could grow to 20" in a small stream. 

He could at times be a man of few words, but when spoken they were poignant, or they were just words to make you laugh with his sense of humor. 

Alfred was predeceased by his wife, Connie (Consuelo) M. (Oseguera) Fay, parents Joseph H. Fay, Sr. and Emily (Camet) Fay, daughter Marie E. (Fay) Ornelas, and brothers Harold Fay, John “Jack” Fay, and Kenneth Fay.

Alfred is survived by his son Greg Fay, daughter Marilyn (Fay) Lindauer, son-in-law Lloyd Lindauer, granddaughter Cassandra Ornelas, sisters and brothers-in-laws Louanne Fay, Helen Fabian, Stephanie and Joe Valdez, Tillie King, John Nordstrom, and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at St. Mark’s Deer Springs Mission Church, 2557 Sarver Lane, San Marcos, CA. 92069 on December 15, 2022, at 11am.  Interment will follow at the San Marcos Cemetery.
