Annetta Johnson Obituary

Annetta (Joris) Johnson was born to Clarence and Mattie Joris on January 22, 1938 in San Bernardino, CA.  She graduated from San Bernardino High School in 1955, met her husband Larry at TI (Title Insurance) Co. in San Bernardino where they worked, in April of 1964 and were married in September of the same year.  Happily married for 57 years–two peas in a pod. They had two children, Brett and Breena.   Annetta taught pre-school at Calvary Baptist Nursery School in San Bernardino for 17 years before moving to Vista in 1985.  She retired from Vista HIgh School as the Principal's secretary in 1998.  While raising the kids, the years were spent as PTA President, Team Mom and attending every sporting event her kids were involved in, as well as being active with DeMolay and Jobs Daughters.  She and Larry were recognized for their dedication and support at VHS and their names appear on the Honor V at Vista High School.  Annetta enjoyed scrapbooking and was a Creative Memories consultant, often hosting "crops" at her home.  The last 30 years were filled with any special time she could spend with her 4 grandsons.  They were indeed her pride and joy. Annetta was strong, independent, caring, and had a great sense of humor.  She loved God, her family, the outdoors, gardening, chocolate, Charger football games, being barefoot, their Christmas Village, her teddy bears, and spending time with family.  She got her wings and went to be with the Lord on March 21, 2026.  Annetta is survived by her children: Brett Johnson and his wife, Robin of Modesto, CA, Breena Bogikes and her husband, John of Vista, CA, and grandchildren: Caden Johnson and his wife, Cameron of Eugene, OR, Conner Johnson and his wife, Shania of Modesto, CA, Jack Bogikes of Vista, CA and Ty Bogikes of Nashville, TN.  There will be a Celebration of Life honoring Annetta in July.
