In Loving Memory of Austin Hutchison
June 14, 2000 – January 14, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Austin Hutchison, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, on January 14, 2025. Austin passed away in San Diego, CA, surrounded by his loved ones, after a tragic accident. His life, though heartbreakingly cut short, was a testament to love, generosity, and a passion for living fully and on his own terms.
Born and raised in San Diego, Austin was a vibrant soul who brought light and joy to everyone fortunate enough to know him. He attended Francis Parker School and Cathedral Catholic High School, where he excelled as a talented baseball player and formed friendships that lasted a lifetime. His love for sports extended beyond the field, as he was an avid fan and passionate supporter of all things athletic.
Austin’s zest for life was contagious. Whether fishing, hunting, traveling, or immersing himself in the vibrant culture of New Orleans where he cherished the soulful music and lively second lines, he embraced every experience with enthusiasm and a profound appreciation for his historic heritage. He especially enjoyed spending time at his grandmother’s ranch in Texas, where he found peace and joy in the simple pleasures of life.
Austin’s heart was as big as his dreams. He was hardworking, caring, and generous to a fault. His love for his family, friends, and his son, Kailer, knew no bounds. He shared his life with his loving soul mate Aaliyah Cruz, who stood by his side in love and partnership. Austin’s vibrant spirit will forever be cherished by his little brother Braxton; his devoted mother, Jessica, and stepfather, Silfredo La O Vigo; his father, Brian Hutchison, and stepmother, Rhonda, and Matthew Seltzer, Esq.; and his grandparents, Mary Jackson, Karen and Brian Seltzer, and Darius Hutchison. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who considered him family.
Austin lived life to its fullest, on his own terms, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he met. His love for music, his passion for adventure, and his unwavering loyalty to those he cared for will never be forgotten. He was a remarkable son, a devoted father, a caring brother, and a true friend.
Austin your bright light will never fade, and you will be forever loved, remembered missed.
