Betty Jo Thacker

Betty Jo Thacker (nee Kozee), 82, passed away on February 14, 2025, in Vista, California.

Born on February 11, 1943, in West Virginia, Betty lived a life marked by kindness, strength, and devotion to her family and faith. Se was known for her quite demeanor but never hesitated to speak her mind when it mattered. Her warmth and friendliness endeared her to those around her, and she brought joy and fun into the lives of many.

Betty found great comfort in her faith. She loved attending church, engaging in daily devotionals, and participating in Bible study. Her spiritual dedication was a guiding force throughout her life and an inspiration to those who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Robert Thacker, Christopher Thacker, and Michelle Meyers; stepdaughters Melissa Ramos and Robyn Chesser; grandchildren James Ramos, Richelle Ramos, Justine McMenamy, and Tyler Thacker; as well as several great-grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Thacker; her siblings Austin Kozee, Thomas Kozee, Lydia Clay, Vondel Kozee, Delores Short, and Carol Thacker.

She will be greatly missed and will forever live in the hearts of those who loved her.
