Beverly Jean Wilson
11/27/1938-08/29/25
Beverly Jean Wilson passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025. She was born on November 27, 1938, in Marion, Kansas, to her loving parents, Daniel and Justine (Weins) Klein.
Bev is survived by her daughter, Jill Wilson (Jerry Thomas); her bonus daughters, Michelle (Dave) Beddard and Lorie (Tim) Schlesener; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law; and many cherished nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 57 years, Maurice "Maury" Wilson, her daughter Kelly Wilson McCoskey, and her brother and sister.
Bev grew up in Peabody, Kansas. She then went on to attend Emporia State University in Kansas, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. She was a lifelong member of the Delta Zeta sorority. She treasured the friendships she built through her hometown and the sorority and enjoyed attending reunions with her sisters across the country.
Bev and her husband, Maury, owned and operated a NAPA Auto Parts store for many years, becoming respected members of the small business community in San Marcos and neighboring areas. Bev’s strong work ethic, kindness, and commitment to her community were evident through her involvement in local events and her membership in the San Marcos Soroptimist Club.
Bev’s life was rich with adventure and deep connections. She loved weekends spent camping, especially in the sand dunes with lifelong friends and family. Alongside Maury, she traveled extensively in their RV, joyfully exploring the country and reconnecting with loved ones along the way. The open road was a source of freedom and happiness for Bev, where she made countless memories.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Bev’s memory to the Gary Sinise Foundation. This nonprofit organization supports and honors military veterans—an important cause to Bev and her family.
A graveside service will be held on October 10th, at 11 AM, where Bev will be laid to rest alongside her beloved Maury at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego County, California.
Bev held her family close to her heart. Her warmth, strength, and love will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
