David Mike Miranda passed in peace on March 2nd at the age of 78. He was born in Pomona California in 1942.
Dave’s family moved to Escondido when he was 7 years old and opened the Kleenway Market on Grand Avenue. After graduating from Escondido High School, he attended barber college and joined the Escondido Police Reserves. Dave was in the profession for 62 years and cut hair for three generations in some families. He cherished his customers as friends.
Dave and Liz married in 1976 and raised three children in San Marcos. The family attends Mission Hills Church where he served as a greeter and was known as the donut man, always on time with the donuts for morning coffee.
Dave loved Country Western music, his boots, hats and his Mexican heritage. But his greatest treasure was his family.
Dave is survived by his wife Liz, son Robert Miranda, daughter Rebekah Miranda, grandson Joshua Heredia, granddaughter Miranda Hopkins and her spouse Damien Hopkins, and Noelle Czekaj. Stepmother Tere Miranda, brother Albert Miranda and sister Carmen Miranda, and Great granddaughter Mila Heredia.
Preceded in death by son Benjamin Miranda, mother Angela Miranda and father Albert Miranda.
