Denis was born in Baltimore, Maryland on April 15, 1956 and passed in peace on Friday May 8, 2020 at the age of 64. Denis attended St. Agnes Elementary School and Mount St. Joseph High School in Baltimore, Maryland.
He was preceded in death by his father Denis Patrick Griffin and mother, Mary Catherine Fahey.
Survivors include his wife Patty Griffin and 3 daughters: Kathleen, Shannon and Erin, his brother Martin Griffin, and Uncle Martin Fahey.
Denis loved life, all things involving the beach and ocean, traveling, old movies, Jimmy Buffett and classic rock music. Most of all he loved his family and close friends.
Being an adventurer, he traveled with his family to many tropical places and introduced us to a world of wonderful memories. His favorite times were spent with family and enjoying delicious meals.
For anyone that knew him, he had a kind heart, fierce mind, and brave spirit. He was intelligent and enjoyed talking (a lot) on just about any topic. And we mean the man could carry on a conversation for many hours without interruption.
Denis was spontaneous and rather exciting. He was protective of his family, goofy, childish, funny, sarcastic at times, and not afraid to speak his mind. He was generous, caring, and considerate to anyone he met.
We thank everyone for praying for and remembering Denis. We will miss him dearly.
An Irish Blessing
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
