Harold L. "Ted" Williams

After a long illness, at 0604 on June 19, 2020, Harold Lee "Ted" Williams passed. He was with us for 89 years. Ted was born to Ivan and Clarice Williams in Erin, TN where he grew up and graduated from Cohn high school. He went on to Barber College where he received a barbering degree thus utilized his trade skill throughout his life. Ted joined the Navy in 1951 and served 4 years as a Seaman 3rd class which included fighting in the Korean war. He received decorations for National Defense, China Service, and Good Conduct.  Afterward, Ted married Irene Makarenkoff and they brought sons Daniel & Mark into the world.  Ted lived in several places including Texas and Arizona where he started and operated successful swimming pool businesses. Upon returning to No. San Diego County, he resumed his barbering career and opened a barber shop in Solana Beach.  Dad spent his last several decades living in Vista, CA. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, and hunter and Dad loved his dogs. He is survived by his brother Ron, his sons Dan and Mark, and 6 grandchildren.  Military Services will be held Tuesday @ 1230 @ Miramar National Cemetery. No flowers please.
