James W. Feeley

March 8th, 1930 - June 5th, 2023

James W. Feeley 93, Husband, Father and Grandfather, passed away June 5th, 2023. He was born on March 8th, 1930 in Jacksons, Pennsylvania where he grew up with one sibling William. James joined the Navy in Philadelphia after high school. He met the love of his life, Mary Feeley, at a USO dance. They married in 1951 and celebrated 69 years together before her passing in 2020. In 1966 the family moved to California, settling in Imperial Beach California in 1969.  After twenty-four years of service James retired from the Navy as a Senior Chief Petty officer. He received a Bachelor Degree from San Diego State University and then completed a second career of 20 years with the County of San Diego. He was an elected board member on the San Diego County Employees Retirement Association.

James and Mary raised a family of three children. James loved crossword puzzles, Sudoku and loved to research Genealogy. He enjoyed traveling with his wife in retirement and being with family. James was always willing to help others and was a very kind person. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. James was preceded in death by his Wife Mary, Son James Jr.

and is survived by his daughter Patricia, his son Michael, six Grandchildren, eleven Great-Grandchildren and one Great-Great Grandson. Services will be held at 1lam on June 27, 2023 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, followed by a full Military burial at Miramar National Cemetery.
