Judith Belle Livingstone passed away peacefully on April 1, 2023, at the age of 95 surrounded by her children. Judy was born in South Gate, California and lived the past 50 years in the North County area of San Diego. After graduating from P.C.C. and Muir College in Southern CA, she began her career in the personnel department at the Naval Ordnance Test Station, Pasadena. There she met the love of her life, Arnold Livingstone, and they wed on April 7, 1951.
They began their family in 1952 with their first daughter Diane (Parsons) now living in Boise, ID, followed by Barbara (Trondson) of Lake Ozark, MO, and youngest, Craig Livingstone of Carlsbad, CA. They enjoyed an active life together with many friends, raising their family and golfing across the US, including a trip to Scotland to play St. Andrews and surrounding courses. She continued golfing after Arnold’s passing. When she finally retired from golf, she could still be found watching whatever PGA tournament was on TV.
Judy loved children and spent many years teaching pre-school and kindergarten. She was a volunteer with the Assistance League, San Marcos, CA and was active in her church where she served on the alter guild.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Madeleine Rodeberg, husband Arnold Livingstone, twin sister Joan Young and granddaughter Lyn-Marie Livingstone. She is survived by two sisters, three children, six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
She enjoyed a full life and was ready on her last days to join Arnold in heaven on the first tee where he said he would be waiting. She will be dearly missed by all.
A memorial service will be held at Branches of the Cross Anglican Church in Vista, CA April 27, 2023, at 11:00 AM.
