Our beloved Kenneth Michael Roberts passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at home on February 18, 2024. He was 60 years old and died peacefully. Ken was a treasured husband, father, son, brother, and friend who will be dearly missed by all.
Ken lived a life of integrity, ethics, and graciousness. Helping others be their best gave him the most satisfaction. The lives of his family, friends, and colleagues are forever improved because of Ken’s magnanimous contributions and his continuous selfless support. We will eternally remember his quick wit, rapid intellect, and gentle kindness.
Ken graduated from New Jersey Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in computer science. He also obtained a Master of Business Administration from the Stern School of Business at New York University where he was awarded the prestigious Dean’s scholarship. Ken had a prosperous career as an engineer, computer programmer and most recently as a successful technology marketing executive.
Ken was devoted to his family, providing enthusiastic support to all of their endeavors. Their many achievements were enabled by his tireless assistance. Colleagues and clients also appreciated his problem-solving abilities and aptitude to apply himself to a range of challenging and diverse issues. He enjoyed running, classic rock, heavy metal, drumming, cooking, hardy laughter, and a lifelong search for the world’s best pizza.
Ken is survived by his wife Sylvia, and daughters Sophia and Isabella. He is also survived by his parents, John and Patricia Roberts, brothers John and Richard (Deborah), niece Christiana Rooney (Patrick) and nephew Jonathan Roberts.
Family and close friends celebrated Ken’s life at a private service. Donations in Ken’s memory to Michael J. Fox Foundation (www.michaeljfox.org) or the Parkinson’s Foundation (https://www.parkinson.org) are encouraged and appreciated.
