Macedonio Serna Ruiz

Macedonio Serna “Massie”  Ruiz, 84, passed away on December 2, 2025 in San Marcos , CA. He was born on January 30, 1941 to Macedonio Garcia Ruiz and Maria de la Luz Serna in Winslow, AZ. He graduated from Winslow High School . He worked for Air Research in Phoenix, AZ and retired from there. He moved to San Marcos , CA where he resided with his wife Evangeline, children and grandchildren, until his death.

He is survived by his wife, Evangeline Ruiz of San Marcos, CA; children, Vera Ruiz, Annette Herren, Mac Ruiz, Pat Ruiz, Bobby Ruiz, Angel Ruiz, Vincent Andrade and his wife Chun Yee Lim, Carmen Andrade and Laura and Edwin Gerrick;  grandchildren; Jeremy Galaviz, Brianna Ruiz, Selena Dominguez (Mario Gonzales), Graciela Dominguez-Chavez (Juan), Sergio Dominguez (Emily), Danielle Herren (Mike), Michael Herren, Zayden Anaya, Hendrix Ruiz, Evie Andrade, Gabrielle Andrade, Ariana Vega, Adan Vega, Anahi Vega, Miguel-Angel Vicente Ceja Andrade, Miranda Ceja and Julian Ceja; great-grandkids, Emiliano Gonzales, Isela Gonzales, Camilla Dominguez, Thalia Dominguez; sister Delia Wormeley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Macedonio Ruiz & Lucita Ruiz; siblings, Socorro Lemus, Isabel Gonzales, Manuel Ruiz, Felicia Ruiz, Vera Marin, Becky Martinez and Vivian Stinson.

Viewing will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 PM , December 11, 2025 at Allen Brothers Mortuary, Vista, CA.
