Maria Julia Rivera was born on February 16, 1934 in Brawley, California and passed away on July 7, 2019 in San Marcos, California.

SERVICES

The Viewing will be held on Monday July 22, 2019 at 5:00PM-8:00PM at Allen Brothers Mortuary Chapel, 435 North Twin Oaks Valley Road, San Marcos CA.

The Burial will be a Grave Side Burial on Friday July 26, 2019 at 11:00AM at The San Marcos Cemetery, 1021 Mulberry Drive, San Marcos CA.  Reverend Nancy Suarez will lead us in a brief Reading in English.  Following Reverend Suarez will be our family member, Martha Richardson, and she will lead us in a brief Spanish Reading.

Maria Julia Rivera married the late Jose Rivera in 1955 and they were married for 64 years.  She is survived by three wonderful children: Dora R. Knoblock, Jaime Rivera, and Gabriel Rivera.  She is also survived by three equally wonderful grandchildren:  Julia Rivera Knoblock, Ashley E. Rivera, and Jerry Rivera.  Maria Julia was predeceased by her unbelievably loving husband, Jose Rivera. He passed earlier this 2019 year.

 Maria Julia loved music, she was an incredible seamstress, she had a special talent for knitting, crocheting and sewing baby blankets among other amazing creative items.  Nana and Tata will be lovingly remembered and profoundly missed.
