“Richard (Rick) Harold Hepner, Jr., 70, of Carlsbad, CA, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 28, 2026, due to complications from Alzheimer’s disease. A native San Diegan, Rick had a lifelong passion for muscle cars and woodworking. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Lynda, and his sons, Justin (Kellie) and Tyler. Rick was a devoted ‘Pop-Pop’ to his grandchildren, Blair and Theo. A Celebration of Life will be held later this year.
