Richard Arthur Nyberg

Richard Arthur Nyberg, age 75, of San Marcos, California passed away at the end of May 2023. 
Richard was a retired Marine with over 20 years of service and a dedicated Masonic brother. He served three tours in Vietnam and received a Military Humanitarian Honor for his selfless work during the fall of Saigon. 
He is survived by his wife, Maria Bonnie Nyberg, three daughters, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Richard has a surviving brother, Ted Nyberg and is preceded in death by his sister Carol Ann Swanson, and parents Bror and Anna Nyberg. 
Rich was known for being a great friend and a dependable guy to call whenever anyone needed help. He had the most generous spirit and is known for his perseverance. He loved cooking, gardening, wood working, and collecting watches. He never met a baby or dog that didn’t instantly love him. His faithful fur-friend, Ollie, misses him greatly as does all who were lucky enough to know him.
