Samuel Joseph Lerma died unexpectedly in Buena Park, Ca. Beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin. Sam was born January 10, 1991 at Saint Mary’s hospital; Long Beach, Ca. Sam moved with his family to Vista, Ca in 1999. He graduated from Vista Adult School and received a certificate of manufacturing from Mira Costa College. Sam worked in manufacturing for American Woodmark in Anaheim, Ca. Sam enjoyed RAP and Hip-Hop music, skateboarding, sports and sports trivia, working out and taking walks within nature. He was involved in scouting, played little league baseball and youth soccer. He loved the San Diego Chargers and Padre’s baseball. Sam enjoyed taking vacations and camping trips with his family and friends. 

Sam is survived by his mother Jayne. B. Lerma, his father Joseph. S. Lerma, brother Daniel. J. Lerma. 2 grandparents, 2 uncles, 2 aunts and 4 cousins. In addition to friends, co-workers and acquittances. Sam lived his life with grit and determination! facing life’s challenges with purpose and resolve. He is loved and may his soul shine upon us with love, empathy and understanding.

A celebration of life and remembrance will be held at a time and place yet to be determined and the family will advise. The family suggest to make a donation in Sam’s memory to the Salvation Armies general fund and or a charity of your choosing.
