Theresa Marie Boyer, affectionately known as “Ladybug” Grandma B to many, passed away, leaving behind a legacy defined by love and faith. Her life was a radiant example of compassion, devotion, and selfless service to others. Those blessed to know her were touched by her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering belief in God and family.
She is survived by the loving hearts of her children — David, Wayne, Danny, Mark, Jim, Ron, Ann, Cheri, Amy, Matthew, and Meride — each a reflection of the faith and love she poured into this world. Though she leaves behind eleven, her heart was always full with twelve. She now joins Theresa, "Baby Girl Boyer," her oldest daughter, in eternal peace.
Theresa’s love did not stop with her children. She was the proud grandmother of 32 grandchildren, the joyful great-grandmother of 34 great-grandchildren, and the awe-filled great-great-grandmother of 1. Her legacy lives on in every one of them — in their laughter, in their hearts, and in the way they carry her love into the world.
Theresa was devoted in marriage to her beloved husband, David Eugene Boyer, for 52 years. Together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and strong faith. Even after David’s passing, Theresa never remarried, choosing instead to remain true to her soulmate and the life they built together.
Her deep love for children extended well beyond her own family. For over 35 years, she owned and operated Lil Pow Wow Preschool, where she poured her heart into nurturing young lives. Her preschool was more than just a place of learning— it was a place of joy, safety, and belonging. One of her favorite sayings was, “Always see life simply and honestly, like a child,” a philosophy she lived by and passed on to everyone around her.
Theresa was also a passionate advocate for life. As a pro-life spokeswoman, she dedicated herself to helping young mothers in need, founding a clinic in Poway, California, that continues to serve families today under the name Life Choices. Her commitment to protecting and uplifting the vulnerable remains one of the many ways her legacy lives on.
Though her passing has left a deep void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were touched by her kindness, we choose to remember Theresa for how she lived—with grace, humility, and unshakable love. She taught us what it means to give more than you take, to love without limits, and to walk through life with faith as your guide.
Thank you, Mom, for the roof over our heads, the healthy food in our bellies, the love of Jesus in our hearts, and the gentle reminders that tomorrow is always a new chance to grow. You’ve left the world stronger, kinder, and more loving because you were in it.
And for crying out loud…right before you tee off with dad, please tell him there are no mulligans allowed on the golf course in heaven.
May God bless you, with a push on the nose & a tweak on the cheek as you walk through the gates of heaven.
Rest in eternal peace!
