Theresa Elaine Calhoun

Theresa Elaine Warmoth Calhoun was born in Los Angeles, CA, on February 2, 1959. She passed peacefully on Friday June 24, 2022 at Sharp Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, CA.

The ultimate California native, she graduated from Vista High and completed Child Development classes at MiraCosta College in Oceanside. Upon graduating high school, Theresa worked for Hughes Aircraft but left the company to begin a career in day care. She loved working with children and they loved “Miss Theresa”.

In 1981, she married Terry Calhoun and together they raised two beautiful daughters, Diana and Susan.  Theresa loved to read and enjoyed her quiet time with a good book. She was generous, kind, and always willing to open her home to host extended family events.

Theresa is survived by her husband Terry Calhoun; her daughters Diana Calhoun and Susan Calhoun Karthik; her grandchildren Joshua Sanders, Eliana Karthik and Aarav Karthik; and her siblings Kristen Warmoth, Timothy Warmoth, Thomas Warmoth, Kathleen Warmoth, Kandace Warmoth D’Ambrosio, and Tamara Warmoth; in addition to several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Sylvia Bouchard Warmoth and George Warmoth and her sister Karen Warmoth Carramao.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 6 at Allen Brothers Mortuary in Vista. The chapel will open at noon and a rosary will be said at 1:00 with a service to follow.
