William Eschol Sharpe, 74, of Kwangju, Korea, passed on Monday, August 29, 2022, at Temecula Valley Hospital, Temecula, Ca. William was born in Savannah, Ga, and was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Eschol Sharpe Jr., and Effie Hattie Lee Barrett Sharpe Martin, and his sister Lawann Sharpe Stephens. He was retired from the US Air Force after 22 years of service and retired from Defense Logistic Agency after 11 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Mi Tan Sharpe of Kwangju, South Korea; and two sons and daughter in laws, Mark Thomas Sharpe, and Jingyeong “Joanne” Lee, of Manassas, Va, Henry Eschol Sharpe III, and Wan Yu “Debbie” Lin, of Bonsall, Ca, his grandchildren Micah Eret Sharpe and Jini Yunice Sharpe, his Brother-in-law, Bobby Stephens, and his niece and nephew Brandy Nicole Jones, and Adam Keith Satterfield. A small family funeral Service was held at 1 p.m. on September 06, 2022 at Allen Brothers Mortuary, Vista, Ca, with Rev. Chien Hua Chen officiating. Military service will be held at Miramar National Cemetery, San Diego, Ca.
His friends call him Bill for short. Bill made friends wherever he goes. He loved to drink beer with his families and friends, and he never ran out of jokes to amuse everyone. He was always loved, and will be missed forever.
